Damon Anderson is a waterman & photographer based in the Bay Area, California. Born and raised in Kodiak Alaska, and a frequenter of the Island of Hawai'i, he has always been drawn to the ocean and its beauty above and below the surface. His photographic work consisting of both digital and film captures the underwater landscape, the creatures and plants that call it home, and our interaction with the Earth's most important ecosystems. Primarily exploring the underwater environment while freediving, Damon has adopted an urgent sense of purpose to document, share and call attention to the wonders and worries that present themselves in this often-overlooked world. With hopes that his work will encourage conversation and drive positive change in our management and use of the oceans, he continues to explore the world's waters at every opportunity.
Damon can be found diving Coastal California or traveling with his camera & dive gear to explore familiar and foreign locations onshore and under the waves. He is a certified freediver & scuba diver and is available for collaborations furthering our understanding and respect for the ocean anywhere in the world.
